About Us

About locr

locr is a leading provider of geo-based services that let marketers use location to their advantage. locr takes data from OpenStreetMap and other geodata sources and converts it into geo-information services and personalized maps that can be used by marketers to enhance their mailing lists, create higher engagement, and achieve better response rates.

locr is headquartered in Braunschweig, Germany and maintains offices in the US and the UK.

Our Mission

Maps have a unique way of creating connections between people and places. locr’s solutions enable marketers to leverage that connection and produce communications that link the recipient with a destination. This results in higher response rates and greater engagement with the marketer’s products and services.

Our Market Focus

locr’s maps are used to enhance the marketing communications of customers around the word in a variety of business sectors, including: retail, healthcare, finance, travel, leisure, events, marketing and print service providers and loyalty programs.

locr maps can also be used in consumer photo products like photobooks and posters as well as in tourism and cartographic projects.

Products and Services

locr’s exceptional quality personalised maps can be supplied in any format or resolution to suit a range of applications and media channels. They are generated using a highly scalable server infrastructure to fulfil the most demanding, high volume requirements efficiently. The maps can be customised with brand logos, routing information and individual points of interest.

Maps can be supplied either on a project-by-project basis or may be directly retrieved from applications using a web service developed using our Application Programming Interface (API).

All data is managed in accordance with the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz), one of the strictest data security regulations in the world.

Investors

locr is a profitable company supported by capital investment from well-known German business angels, the High-Tech Gründerfonds, KfW and a Swiss Venture Capital partner.
