Over the last couple of months, locr’s team had the opportunity to attend the major industry events happening around the globe.
locr’s head of business development, Thomas Schnettler joined our US representative Randy Hardy at a series of events in the US, Dscoop, Xplor, and PODi. In the UK, locr’s representative Tony Hodgson attended the Cross Media Production conference, which happened alongside Ipex 2014.
In advance of these shows, there was much talk in the industry about events – are they still relevant? Do they still hold value to attendees and exhibitors?
We found that while the nature of these events have changed – and in some cases gotten smaller – the events still offer tremendous value in their ability to bring the market together for face-to-face conversations. Because while print and marketing service providers all have similar challenges, as businesses they are unique. Their organizations, their expertise, the demands of their clients are all different.
