Braunschweig, Germany – May 18, 2016 – At drupa 2016 locr (www.locr.com), the leading provider of personalized maps and GEOservices, will be showcasing solutions that enhance the value of print by creating a strong connection between the reader and a location. From their stand (Hall 07 / B03) in the drupa innovation park, locr will showcase personalized maps and GEOservices that give print and marketing service providers an easy, cost effective way to include highly personalized elements in the printed materials they produce for clients, including direct mail, photo books, brochures, and event-related materials. Holger Urbansky, managing director of locr, says,
“We came to drupa four years ago with a new solution that gave printers a way to add a highly personalized element to their printed communications. Now, four years later, we return to drupa showcasing all the ways our company has grown, including enhanced maps, a global list of customers, and a solution that lets marketers get closer to their clients. We are proud of what we have accomplished in this time, and look forward to showcasing it all during drupa.”
Personalization for Print
locr’s personalized maps are used by printers to enhance a range of printed communications, including direct mail, photo books, brochures, and event invitations.
For example, printers can incorporate personalized maps in a direct mail campaign. In a direct mail, these maps can show a prospect the exact route they would take to get from their home to the location of a business. Maps can also be used to identify the location of photos from a travel adventure, adding a creative element to a photo book. Maps can also be used to support an event by providing travel directions to the event, or locating points of interest near the event.
Personalized Maps in Action
At drupa, locr is collaborating with HP to create printed communications that use location to highlight the value of print.
In Hall 17, HP is showcasing the HP PageWide Web Press T490HD and the HP PageWide Web Press T230 and producing posters that highlight locations around the world.
In addition to the posters, HP and locr have also collaborated to create a postcard with personalized maps that showcase all of the places to find HP at drupa on one side, highlighting local of attractions in Düsseldorf on the other. Samples of both campaigns can also be found at the locr stand. Pat McGrew, Customer Engagement Evangelist at HP, says,
“When you want to highlight the value of your location, locr will point you in the right direction. The personalized communications we have collaborated to create for drupa are great examples of how adding a location-based image to printed communications can make it come alive. We were pleased to work with locr on these campaigns and look forward to using more maps in future communications.”
Better Mailings Start with Better Lists
At drupa, locr will also be demonstrating the power of their GEOanaltyics solution. locr’s GEOanalytics let marketers go beyond zip codes and target their direct marketing campaigns with rooftop precision. GEOanalytics compares a mailing list to the location of a business, and narrows the list down so it only targets prospects that are in the exact geographic area a marketer wants to target. With GEOanalytics, marketers are better able to reach the contact most likely to do business with them.
