XMPie and locr Join Forces to Enable Animated Maps in Personalized Video
New York, August 30, 2013 – In a move designed to expand the XMPie® uDirect® Video offering, XMPie, A Xerox Company, and a leading provider of software solutions for Individualized Communications Management (ICM), announced today the addition of locr animated personalized maps to its XMPie Mapping Service™.
These animated video maps can be incorporated into personalized videos created with the XMPie uDirect Video solution, resulting in highly engaging personalized movies with maps based on geo data. By adding other locr data such as driving directions into the database used with the XMPie uDirect Video software, geo location content can easily be incorporated into other elements of the resulting personalized movies. “The market for personalized videos continues to show steady growth and provide new business opportunities for enterprise marketers, service providers and , creative agencies,” said Larry Zusman, director of video personalization at XMPie.

XMPie uDirect Video allows professional After Effects users to design quality individualized videos and automatically render them efficiently. The locr video maps solution includes LOCALmaps, used to identify a specific place by animating a dynamic “fly in” to a location that is marked on the map with a logo or icon, and NAVImaps, which animate the route a recipient might take to get from their location to the location of a business. For example, this type of video can show an animated car that drives along the mapped route or an airplane flying from one destination to the next.
